Quick verdict

LNDR is a premium women's activewear brand with genuinely innovative materials. Recycled polyamide, biodegradable polyamide (engineered to biodegrade within 5 years in landfill), and sustainable yarn from 100% non-fossil raw materials (end-of-life tyres). The 4.8/5 Trustpilot score from 529 reviews and 30-day 'Sweat Test' return policy reflect strong consumer trust. However, supply chain transparency is notably low. No factory locations disclosed, no Code of Conduct published, and no living wage commitment.

What they do well

  • Industry-leading material innovation: Biodegradable polyamide engineered to break down within 5 years in landfill, plus sustainable polyamide yarn made from 100% non-fossil raw materials (end-of-life tyres).
  • Toxin-free performance: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, BPA-free tested, PFAS-free tested. Brand positioning is 'performance apparel, without the toxins.'
  • Exceptional consumer satisfaction: 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 529 reviews, with many customers noting they switched from Lululemon. Stocked at Selfridges, Harrods, Net-a-Porter, and Nordstrom.
  • 30-day Sweat Test return policy — Customers can wear and work out in products for 30 days and return if unsatisfied—an unusually customer-friendly policy for activewear.

Room for improvement

  • No supply chain transparency: Does not disclose final production locations, factory names, or audit results. No public Code of Conduct. No living wage commitment.
  • No environmental reporting: No published carbon footprint, no SBTi targets, no sustainability report. Material innovation is strong but overall environmental impact is unquantified.

About LNDR

LNDR (pronounced 'el-en-dee-ahr') was founded in East London in 2015 by three women: Joanna Turner (Australian, Managing Director, previously founded Francis Leon jacket line), Sarah Donnelly (Canadian, previously at Paige Denim), and Donna Harris (Australian, previously head of retail at Ted Baker). The brand has remained independently owned and founder-led with no evidence of outside investment.

The material innovation is LNDR's strongest differentiator. The majority of leggings use recycled polyamide—a biodegradable polyamide has been engineered to break down within five years in landfill conditions. Sustainable polyamide yarn is made from 100% non-fossil raw materials sourced from end-of-life tyres. The range also includes GOTS-certified organic cotton, merino wool, Tencel, Seacell (seaweed-based fibre), and bamboo. Only two fabrics in the current range are not yet recycled, with alternatives in development due to yarn fineness requirements. All fabrics are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, BPA-free, and PFAS-free.

Consumer trust is notably strong. Trustpilot shows 4.8 out of 5 from 529 brand-managed reviews, with consistent praise for quality, compression, and customer service. The 30-day Sweat Test return policy allows customers to wear and exercise in products before deciding—an unusually generous policy. The brand is stocked at premium retailers including Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Net-a-Porter, Nordstrom, Lane Crawford, and Le Bon Marché.

LNDR's most prominent public moment was a landmark 2018 trademark lawsuit victory against Nike. Nike was forced to withdraw its 'LDNR' abbreviation from a £10 million 'Nothing Beats a Londoner' campaign after courts found Nike had been aware of LNDR before running the campaign. Celebrity supporters include Kourtney Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, and Jessica Alba.
