Quick verdict
Edikted is unambiguously a fast fashion brand targeting Gen Z with TikTok-viral, Y2K-inspired clothing at low prices. Despite vague sustainability language on its website ("pre-order for a more sustainable future!"), the brand has virtually zero verified sustainability practices. No certifications, no factory transparency, no environmental targets. Best understood as a more curated alternative to Shein, not a sustainable brand in any meaningful sense.

Rating breakdown
Relies heavily on conventional polyester and cotton. No organic, recycled, or certified sustainable materials found. No GOTS, OEKO-TEX, or any material certifications.
Manufactures primarily in China, Bangladesh, and Vietnam. No published code of conduct, no factory list, no audit results, no evidence of living wages, no third-party labour certifications.
Classic fast fashion model with hundreds of new styles, rapid trend cycles, and flash sales encouraging overconsumption. No carbon data, no water usage data, no chemical management. Uses air freight for 5–7 day delivery.
Almost total opacity. No factory disclosures, no sustainability metrics, no annual impact reports. The sustainability page contains vague aspirational language with zero measurable commitments.
Delivers on-trend pieces at competitive prices with slightly better perceived quality than Shein. However, quality is inconsistent. Thin fabrics, sizing issues, limited durability. Perpetual "sale" pricing inflates perceived value.
What they do well
- Trend speed. Excels at translating TikTok/Instagram trends into affordable clothing quickly; was the #1 searched fashion brand among Gen Z on Google in September 2022
- Recyclable packaging. Uses recyclable boxes for international shipments and eliminated external tapes that hinder recycling. Essentially the brand's only verified sustainability practice
- "Try and repeat" production model. Produces limited initial quantities and scales based on demand, theoretically reducing overproduction versus traditional bulk ordering (though this is standard modern fast fashion practice)
- Responsive customer service: Trustpilot reviews consistently praise fast, helpful responses via email and Instagram DMs
Room for improvement
- The core business model is fast fashion. Weekly new collections, flash sales with 50–80% discounts, and $6 tops incentivise overconsumption. No recyclable packaging offsets this.
- Near-total lack of transparency. No certifications, no factory list, no materials disclosure, no environmental targets, no labour audits. Eco-Stylist's assessment: "Edikted is not ethical, not sustainable, and not transparent."
- Misleading sustainability marketing. Using language like "pre-order for a more sustainable future" while providing zero evidence of sustainable practices constitutes greenwashing. Multiple sustainability analysts flag this as deceptive.
About Edikted
Edikted was founded in 2020 by Israeli entrepreneur Dedy Schwartzberg, who previously co-founded Adika, One of Israel's most successful fast-fashion sites, Schwartzberg and several Adika team members launched Edikted in January 2021, and it became a viral sensation almost immediately, surpassing Adika's US sales within its first year (Adika's global revenue was ~$70.7M in 2020).
Edikted's strategy centres on identifying trending styles from TikTok and Instagram, producing them in small batches at low cost (primarily in China, Bangladesh, and Vietnam), and flooding social media with influencer content. The brand rolls out ~100 new styles per month. It pays for air freight to offer 5–7 day delivery, competing directly with Shein and Fashion Nova. Pricing uses an inflated "comp value" system (e.g., "comp value $98" with items perpetually on sale for $20–$40), creating a perception of constant deals.
Materials are predominantly polyester and conventional cotton. No organic, recycled, or certified sustainable materials have been identified. The brand holds zero sustainability certifications. Its sustainability page mentions recyclable packaging and paper-free offices but provides no measurable environmental commitments. Edikted is also sold through PacSun and recently opened a physical store in Aventura Mall, Florida. Compared to Shein (lower quality, vastly more styles), Princess Polly (slightly more transparent), or Zara (higher quality), Edikted positions itself as a "curated Shein": functionally identical in its sustainability profile.
